Volunteers Needed: Family Formation Is Looking for Catechists!

Do you enjoy sharing your faith with others?  Do you have a heart for working with children and families?  Midtown Catholic has a great opportunity for you!  Our Wednesday night RE program, Family Formation, is looking for catechists who are willing to work with elementary age children.  Catechists lead children in age-appropriate activities once a month, and experience opportunities to interact with families during the monthly community event as well.  This is your chance to inspire both children and their parents to grow closer to God!  Catechists also are invited to register their children/grandchildren for Family Formation for free.  For more information, contact Rachel Bielstein at the parish office.  Her contact info is 402-556-1456 or rjbielstein@midtown.church.

Family Formation starts September 6th.

Spots are still open for your family to join us!

More than ever before, young people are asking questions about life and meaning. With Alpha, you can create a space for them to wrestle with their thoughts and share their opinions in a safe and friendly environment.

Starts September 14th at St. Thomas More. Ages 13-18 are welcome. Adult Alpha will be going on at the same time.

Becoming Catholic will start September 13th at St. Thomas More. Classes will go from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

It looks like we are going to have a good crop of non-Catholics. All are welcome to attend, but please be considerate of the potential candidates and where they are on their faith journey. Please keep them in your prayers.

September 5th was the Feast of St. Teresa of Calcutta. I once heard from a priest that they had outlawed deacons using more than one Mother Teresa quote in a homily at his seminary- because no one would learn to use other sources! This giant of the 20th century has many inspirational quotes, so instead of one- check out these 25 Quotes
