Midweek at Midtown – February 23
Journey of Faith Pastoral Planning
If you were at Mass this past weekend anywhere in the archdiocese, you probably heard a letter from the archbishop read from the pulpit. To learn more about the pastoral planning that’s going on right now in the archdiocese, go to https://journeyoffaith.org/.
Ready to Lent
Lent should definitely be a verb. How will you be Lenting this year? Ash Wednesday is next week and so a good place to start is with an Ash Wednesday Mass. Here’s the Mass schedule.
Another great place to Lent is at Formed.org. They have several videos available so you can get the most out of Lent. You can watch the videos on our own, with your family, or for bonus points, reach out to some friends and do a weekly faith study together.

This Weekend’s Gospel
Jesus told his disciples a parable,
“Can a blind person guide a blind person?
Will not both fall into a pit?
No disciple is superior to the teacher;
but when fully trained,
every disciple will be like his teacher.
Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye,
but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own?
How can you say to your brother,
‘Brother, let me remove that splinter in your eye,’
when you do not even notice the wooden beam in your own eye?
You hypocrite! Remove the wooden beam from your eye first;
then you will see clearly
to remove the splinter in your brother’s eye.
